Denis Vlasenko is rapidly establishing himself as one of the most prominent conductors of his generation, demonstrating exceptional skill in both the symphonic and operatic worlds.
He has been in increasing demand across Europe and Asia, where he has worked with numerous orchestras such as the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Brussels Philharmonic, Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali di Milano, Latvian National Symphony, Moscow and Saint-Petersburg Philharmonic orchestras, Slovenian Philharmonic, Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna, The National Philharmonic orchestra of Russia, Russian National Orchestra, Tatarstan Symphony orchestra.
Denis regularly collaborates with world acclaimed artists such as Anna Netrebko, Ildar Abdrazakov, Vadim Repin, Denis Matsuev, Yusif Eyvazov, Aida Garifullina, Nikolai Lugansky, Sergey Krylov, Maria Guleghina, Ludovic Tezier, Hibla Gerzmava, Dmitry Korchak, Lucas Debargue, Erwin Shrott, Joseph Calleja, Vittorio Grigolo, Boris Berezovsky and many others.
Vlasenko´s most recent engagements include the “Puccini Gala” with Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov at the Ljubljana Festival in 2025 and Teatro Real in Madrid in 2024, debut at Teatro Municipal of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. As well as his engagements with Gran Teatro del Liceu (Barcelona) and Hungarian State Opera, “Turandot” at Teatro Petruzzelli (Bari), 3 productions of “La traviata” at the Palacio de Bellas Artes (Mexico City), at the “Mikhailovsky” Theatre (Sain-Petersburg) and at the Azerbaijan state opera Theatre (Baku), “Eugeny Onegin” at the Latvian National Opera (Riga), “Le Comte Ory” by Rossini in Tokyo, “Lucia di Lammermoor” at Teatro Calderon (Valladolid), “Il barbiere di Siviglia” at the Kolobov Moscow opera Theatre, “Aida” and “Requiem” Verdi at the Khvorostovsky opera Theatre (Krasnoyarsk), “La fille du regiment” by Donizetti at Elena Obraztsova Festival in Great hall of the Moscow Conservatory and Gala concert at Bolshoi Theatre (Moscow).
From January 2022 Denis Vlasenko appointed to position of Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Bolshoi Theatre of the Opera and Ballet named A.Navoi in Tashkent (Uzbekistan).
He was engaged in the recording of music for Opening Ceremony and Closing-Ceremony of the Winter Olimpic Games in Sochi-2014. Vlasenko received his initial musical training at the Moscow Chorus Academy, continued his studies at the Moscow State Conservatory, and completed his education at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory.
